Asmita Ale: A star born in English football

Born and brought up in England, nineteen year old Asmita Ale has carved a niche for herself in English women’s football. She is the first ever Nepali origin  fully fledged professional footballer playing top flight football in the United Kingdom. Without a shadow of a doubt,Asmita  possesses qualities of a star in the making. A peek at her progress chart provides lots of evidence of her talent as a footballer. In  her young career to date she has already made more than 20 appearances  for England’s  national youth teams.  She represented Under-17 thirteen times in 2017-18,Under-18  five times in 2018 and Under-19 four times in 2019. She was in the Under-19 squad for the 2019 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship held in Scotland as well. The highly skilled footballer made headlines after she inked a  two -year contract with Tottenham Hotspur Club women’s team  for the 2021-2022 Women’s Super League Season recently. ANFA sinks into Chaos

Poor  leadership,failed governance,petty politics,corruption, mismanagement, nepotism, fiefdom,factionalism,lack of transparency and accountability,remain hallmarks of  All Nepal Football Association (ANFA),the  apex football body, Despite changing of the guard a few years ago, the face of ANFA remains unchanged to this day,unfortunately. As a result,Nepal  football is in a sorry state of affairs and lagging far behind in development and international football. The so called executives who run the football body are largely responsible for the plights of football in the country. Besides,there always has been a clear lack of responsibility,professionalism and honesty on their part.They are  shamelessly engaged in politics of petty personal self-interests and ruining football.
