Nepal face tall order against Australia

Nepal, already out of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, plays Australia in the final match in Kuwait City ,Kuwait. Nepal’s  World Cup campaign came to an end after their 3-0 loss to Jordan.The setback was not a surprise against a superior and dominant opposition that controlled proceedings throughout. Nepal must prove they are no pushovers against Jordan

  The national team of Nepal completed a crucial 2-0 win over Chinese Taipei in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers Group B in Kuwait City,Kuwait Thursday. For the second time in the competition,Nepal got the better of  Chinese Taipei.In the first meeting between the two sides Nepal  won  by  an identical score. With 6 points from two wins, Nepal standings in the group  remain unchanged.They are still fourth behind Australia, Jordan and Kuwait. The national team of  Nepal  gear up for the final stretch  of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers Round Two  in Kuwait City,Kuwait. After more than  eighteen months,Nepal will be back in action to  play the  last three matches in Group B against Chinese Taipei, Australia and Jordan . Prior to postponement of  World Cup qualifiers, Nepal’s  last match was against Kuwait in November 2019 in Thimphu,Bhutan.  In fact, Nepal’s home match was moved to Bhutan  because Dashrath Stadium  did not meet  FIFA and AFC standards. It may be recalled that they put in a spirited performance against the formidable opponent before going down by a solitary goal.
