The men’s under-19 national football team of Nepal had to endure disappointment  yet again in the recently concluded Under-19 Men’s South Asian Football Federation  Championship held in Yupia,Arunachal Pradesh,India. Host  and defending champions India survived a big scare before getting the better of  Bangladesh on penalty shootout to lift the trophy. The third edition of Nepal Super League, unarguably,the country’s biggest and most prestigious domestic football tournament concluded in Kathmandu recently. The championship featured seven teams,  and  a record high of forty- two and four foreign players and coaches respectively. The Men’s Under-19 national cricket team of Nepal had to endure heartbreak in the 2026 ICC Under-19  Men’s World Cup Qualifier,which concluded in Kathmandu recently. The hosts' dream of making it to the final round of the competition was shattered,following cancellation of their decisive match against formidable Afghanistan without a ball being  bowled due to persistent rain and unplayable ground conditions. Although both teams remained unbeaten and  were tied on points,Afghanistan ended up benefiting from the situation.
