Nepal’s valiant effort against Scotland fall short by a whisker

  Nepal’s quest for a third successive victory over hosts Scotland in the  ICC  men’s Cricket World Cup League 2  fell short by a whisker in Dundee,Scotland. Chasing a record  total of 324 runs,Nepal was on the cusp of a remarkable victory needing seven runs in the last over. Experienced pacer Safyaan Sharif bowling the last over  saved the day for  Scotland by taking the last two wickets including the  wicket of dangerous Karan  KC when it mattered most. It was an epic thriller that saw teams fortunes fluctuate in the last five overs. The game took a thrilling and dramatic turn,following Nepal’s two crucial batting   partnerships late in the innings. Impressive win by Nepal over Netherlands

The men’s national cricket team of Nepal registered a  crucial five wicket victory over Netherlands in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 in Dundee,Scotland, Wednesday to remain unbeaten in the tri-series. The triumph was the result of a splendid collective effort.Despite losing the toss and bowling first,Nepali bowlers were at the top of their game and pinned down the opposition's relatively strong batting line up. The bowlers mixed accuracy, aggression,consistency,good line and length.The experienced pacer duo Sompal Kami and Karan KC stood up for their team. Top wicket taker Kami  bowled superbly,claiming three wickets and made the initial breakthrough when the opponent had just  opened their account. The men’s   national  cricket team of Nepal made a dream start in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 triangular series in Scotland. In a nerve wracking match Nepal coasted to a thrilling one wicket victory over  hosts Scotland in the  second last ball of the last over of the allotted 50 overs in Forthill, Dundee, Scotland. Player of  the match  speedster Karan KC hogged the  limelight for his outstanding all round performance.Drawing upon his experiences, he displayed solid composure and  dogged determination to guide  his team to a well  earned and very important victory. Team Nepal faces challenge to defy odds against Scotland

  The  men’s national cricket team of Nepal’s 2025 competitive  season  kicks off  with the ICC Cricket  World Cup League 2 tri-series in Scotland,starting June 2nd. They are up against formidable  Scotland and the Netherlands in the tri-series. They face  hosts Scotland in the opener on June 2nd. After the conclusion of the league the three teams  will compete in the T20 series in Scotland as well.  Team Nepal  is under the new  head coach Australian Stuart Law who replaced Indian Monty Desai. As part of preparation for the upcoming Cricket World  Cup League 2 series the team  reached the  United Kingdom several weeks  before the  start of the series to play practice matches. They played a mix  of one day and T20 matches in  England  against Cardiff University,Marylebone Cricket Club and two county sides  Gloucestershire and Glamorgan.
